Worked closely with New York State (NYS) Dept. of Health (DOH) executives to convert Affordable Care Act policy into Graphical User Interface (GUI) documents and functional requirements which provided the development framework for the NYS Obamacare website. Designed and developed hundreds of unique wireframes and workflows which constitute the majority of the application as it functions today. Efforts led to the successful, timely launch of the NY State of Health website in October 2013.
The Extreme Bucket List was created in 2013 to help people find out-of-the-ordinary adventure opportunities like sky diving, race car driving and deep-sea fishing.
Created all aspects of a full-scale Ruby on Rails application geared specifically towards the adventure industry. Built entirely with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, jQuery and deployed on Heroku / Amazon Web Services. Application included features and technologies such as the Google Maps API, Facebook API integration, custom back-end publishing and administration application for affiliates and site administrators, Amazon S3 CDN, and RSpec with Capybara for functional testing.
