TownConnect keeps families in the loop. We help members and organizations manage the quantity of life so they can improve the quality of their lives with friends & family.

Front-End Engineer, Townconnect.com; Boston, MA – 2006-2007

Provided wireframes, PSDs and XHTML/CSS on the social network Townconnect.com launched in March 2006. Supervised and mentored junior staff member and delegated incoming tasks. Worked with CEO to implement new initiatives and functionality including a co-branded site for Poshmom.com where I designing and developed the site using the TownConnect Ruby on Rails code base, launched in early 2007.

About Townconnect

Family life can be chaotic. Parents working longer hours, children with multiple scheduled activities per day and less time to manage it all. Technology helps but now families face information overload- cell phone numbers, emails, blackberrys, class lists, team rosters, group directories, and the good old paper calendar in the kitchen.

TownConnect keeps families in the loop. We help members and organizations manage the quantity of life so they can improve the quality of their lives with friends, family and in their community. Our goal is to make it safe, easy and fun for people to communicate and share information online. TownConnect uses social networking technology to provide a secure, private, place online for families and relatives, teachers & classes, coaches & teams and other town groups.

Who are the people in your town? What was Allison’s husband and kids’ names? What is Jane’s email and cell phone number? When is the game this weekend? TownConnect saves you time, helps you answer these questions, avoid the embarrassment of forgetting names and maybe help turn an acquaintance into a friend.

Founded in 1992, Wellogic provides award-winning health information exchange, portal, and EHR/PHR solutions that help ensure quality care for nearly 5 million patients.

Wellogic’s mission is to enable meaningful data exchange for the evolution of care delivery. Our technology ensures that seamlessly integrated, standardized clinical data from multiple disparate sources is always readily available to the providers who depend on it at the point of care.

Wellogic has a long history of interoperability. In fact, we have been facilitating interoperability for more than a decade, starting with one of our early projects at the New England Medical Center in 1996 where we designed and developed an EMR that connected data from their multiple, disparate departmental systems.

We are proud to have gained the respect of industry experts, our partners and peers, and, most importantly, our clients, who are using our industry-breakthrough solutions to provide better care. Wellogic’s dedicated team truly understands the complexity of critical information flows and has developed a depth of experience solving difficult accessibility, usability, and data standardization issues.
